1976 was the last year of the ABA (American Basketball Association). I was staff photographer for the New York Nets and was fortunate enough to capture this picture which symbolized the classic Dr. J moves. This is the Newsweek Magazine article that ran when the Nets won the championship.

This photo was also used in the paperback book titled "Dr J" by Bill Gutman
